Water Maintenance Worker II

Assists in the installation, repair and servicing of water main and service lines, water wells, booster stations and water meters; may perform building, equipment and grounds maintenance and repair.

Equivalent to a high school diploma PLUS two years experience in construction, building maintenance, irrigation installation and maintenance, or related field. Experience in the construction or installation of water systems is desired. A combination of education, experience, and training may be applied in accordance with City of Las Cruces policy.

Valid driver's license required. Class A commercial driver's license must be obtained within 12 months of employment. NM Level II Water Certification required. NM Level Ill Water Certification must be obtained within 12 months of meeting State of NM experience requirement. Position requires an acceptable driving record in accordance with City of Las Cruces policies.
