The City of Dickinson's Water Department is looking someone to join our team as a Chief Water Utility Operator. This position is responsible for the oversight of the operation and maintenance of the city’s Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, Stormwater Collections, MS4 requirements, Industrial Waste, and Wastewater Treatment Systems.  Assists in assuring compliance with the monitoring, sampling, and reporting requirements of the City of Dickinson, North Dakota Department of Health and the US Environmental Protection Agency.

Minimum Requirements include having a valid driver's license, ND Class B CDL with tanker endorsements within probationary period, Water Distribution Class III Certification (within three years depending on area of assignment), Wastewater Collection Class III Certification (within three years depending on area of assignment), Wastewater Treatment Class IV Certification (within three years depending on area of assignment), Associates Degree in Water/Wastewater Technology, Biology, Microbiology or Environmental Science and three year’s experience, or five years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, pre-employment drug screen, reference check, and background check at hire.
