We are searching for a professional and courteous Client Services Specialist with great people and analytical skills to help our team bring new clients on board and foster lasting relationships with existing customers.

The Job

As a Client Services Specialist, you will work closely with marketing and product teams to optimize the client experience from their first impression of Polco. You will be responsible for growing the number of customers using the free version of Polco, ensuring we are meeting expectations for existing customers, collaborating on the development of customer service initiatives, and recommending different product options to clients who are interested in upgrades. Your dedication to the needs of our clients helps Polco grow through positive client-to-business engagement.

To ensure success in this role, the ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent active listening and communication skills, good personal presentation, politeness and tact, and be able to function in a high-pressure environment. The noteworthy Client Services Specialist should provide timely solutions to client’s problems, build sustainable and continuous relationships with clients, show initiative and drive when dealing with client requests, and assist in developing marketing material and sales strategies.

The ability to measure and monitor the client journey is an important component of this position. The successful Client Services Specialist will be strategic and analytical when finding solutions to problems to ensure maximum client satisfaction. A significant component of this position will involve diving into data to help our team better understand client needs; to explore how they use Polco and where improvements could be made to ensure they are successful in engaging their constituents on Polco.

Experience and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration or related field and local government experience; a recent MPA, MPP or similar degree; or any combination of skills and experience that would allow for success in the position.
  • 1-3 years experience in client, resident, or member-facing positions.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • General business knowledge.
  • High public service orientation.

  • Willingness to occasionally travel to Madison, WI or other locations (post COVID-19)
