Description | TITLE: Maintenance Worker LOCATION: General Services –Grounds and Parks Maintenance JOB NUMBER: JN20-45GS CLASS CODE: 9110 SALARY RANGE: $29,120 (DOQ) annually with excellent benefits package FLSA Status: Non-exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The purpose of this classification is to perform semi-skilled and unskilled manual work as part of crew in performing routine maintenance and construction tasks in general support of various departmental or Town projects. QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma or GED; previous experience and/or training in maintenance and construction work in area of assignment is preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. SPECIAL REQUISITES: May require occasional weekend work. LICENSES: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. NOTES: The work involved in this job requires sufficient physical strength, stamina, and ability to pass a work related physical proficiency test and pre-employment examination including drug test. The work is physically demanding, may require lifting heavy objects, and may require working in inclement weather.
Selection process may include: examinations, interviews, assessment centers, practical skills, etc. Drug testing may be required.
