Description | About Our JobThis job involves daily tree trimming and maintenance of trees throughout the County’s right-of-way, Parks and Facilities as required. Job Description:
Work Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
About YouMinimum Qualifications: A High School Diploma or equivalent and experience in tree care maintenance, landscaping, or natural lands management. Must obtain a passing score on “Green Industries Best Management Practices “for fertilizer application within (6) months from date of hire. Must also obtain a State of Florida Pesticide Applicators License (Right-of-Way) within one year from date of hire. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working at heights, experience using large equipment, tree related experience, experience in the maintenance of small two cycle equipment. One-year tree pruning experience and Florida Department of Transportation “Temporary Traffic Control Certification” Intermediate Level. Job Competencies:

Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
