The Position

The City of Cedar Park is seeking applicants for the position of Seasonal Sign Installer to work on the Streets Maintenance Team throughout the summer season. 

• Installs and maintains road signs;
• Assists with the repair, removal, or replacement of pole-mounted street name signs;
• Operate sign making machines and equipment;
• Hand shovels dirt, gravel, or asphalt;
• Tamps, packs, and levels dirt, asphalt, or other material;
• Picks up construction materials, brush and loads onto/off truck;
• Maintains and cleans vehicles, equipment, and shop area;
• Operates tools and machinery including pneumatic and electric jack hammers, mechanical and manual saws, mechanical and manual hammers, hammer drills, sledge hammers, pick-axe, Maddox, digging bars, and other hand-held power tools, including other rotating and vibrating power tools; and
• Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

Acceptable Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses

Demonstrate the ability to safely use common vocational tools;
 
or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
 
Valid Texas Driver's License, with acceptable driving record.  An appropriate commercial license may be required by the assigned department, depending on the type of equipment or vehicles in use in that department.
