Description | Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 (the “District”) provides water, wastewater treatment, and fire protection to the Town of Trophy Club and parts of Solana in the Town of Westlake. The District is governed by a five-member Board and appoints a General Manager who serves as Chief Administrative Officer for the District and is responsible to the Board of Directors and public for the proper administration of all district affairs, including leadership, planning, and organization in the operation, maintenance, personnel management, and capital improvements of water distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and municipal fire department facilities. The Town of Trophy Club, Texas, is ideally situated along the SH 114 west corridor, about 10 minutes from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Trophy Club covers 4.2 square miles and is located in both Denton and Tarrant Counties and is home to approximately 12,000 residents. The District seeks an honest, trustworthy, high energy General Manager of high integrity with strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills. The selected candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, accounting, public administration, water utility management, engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus. A minimum of 10 years in a managerial capacity in a water and wastewater utility is preferred. Demonstrated experience with utility management, planning, organizing, creating, and managing annual operating and capital budgets, review and approval of expenses/payroll, and implementing and supervising work programs is strongly desired. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. Possession of a valid Class “A or B” Surface Water or Ground Water Operator Certificate and/or Wastewater Treatment Operator Certificate from the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is preferred. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a valid Texas driver’s license. Residency is desired, but not required; however, the final candidate must reside within a 45-minute commuting distance to Trophy Club.
