The purpose of the Technology Manager is to ensure the efficient and effective operations of the IT Department; managing the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau (ICVB) Information Technology (IT) activities, which includes overseeing Managed Services Provider personnel; providing oversight, planning, direction, implementation logistics and support, monitoring, and maintenance of the Irving CVB IT systems; specifically, these systems include but are not limited to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, network, MS Office Suite, Operating Systems and system security. The ICVB resides on a completely separate network and uses database software programs and systems separate from the City of Irving’s network and databases.  Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with major course work in Information Systems or a closely related field, and at least 5 years of increasingly responsible related experience.  Experience and familiarity with the Simpleview CRM system is a preferred.
