Description | Job Summary As assigned, operates a variety of equipment to successfully complete daily departmental responsibilities. Equipment may include, but is not limited to the following: Driving a side or rear loading sanitation vehicle (non-automated vehicles) or limb truck and collecting and disposing of solid waste or limbs in commercial and residential areas; operating a street sweeper and/or backhoe at the recycle center. Responsible for the daily safe operation of assigned vehicle and for the supervision and training of assigned contract labor. No budgetary responsibilities. Scheduled to work a 40-hour week, however, hours and days off are subject to change in order to meet departmental responsibilities. Position is considered “Essential Personnel”, which requires being on duty to respond during emergency situations including, but not limited to, natural and/or man-made disasters. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Education, Certifications and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required and 2 years of experience related to area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
