Description | Utilities Field Crewleader Summary: Under basic supervision, leads and coordinates the activities of the Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection (W/WW) maintenance and repair work crews; reviews work orders, and makes appropriate decisions based on work experience. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, AND three years of experience in operation, maintenance and repair of W/WW systems and infrastructure that is governed by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality; OR two years' of work experience in the City of Odessa Water Distribution or Wastewater Collection divisions. License and certification requirements: A Texas State Commercial Class A Driver's License is required. Class C Water/Wastewater license form Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is required or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire. Physical demands and working environment: Work is performed in a standard office environment, and outdoors at work sites. Work schedule includes after hours, weekends and holidays. Must be able to respond to after hour emergencies as needed. Work rotating and rotating call duty as required. City approved safety boots must be worn. Division safety equipment is furnished and must be used as prescrived by policies.
