What You Will Be Doing

The Development Engineer is responsible for reviewing engineering information related to development cases (platting, site plan and zoning approval process), the issuance of building and other permits and assistance of the creation of applicable comprehensive planning documents. Tasks include the review of preliminary storm water/drainage plans, preliminary grading and erosion control plans, preliminary utility plans, and conducting site inspections associated with proposed development cases; reviewing building permit applications to ensure that storm water/drainage plans and grading activities associated with the permit application adhere to approved plans, applicable ordinances and best management practices;  assisting in preparing and implementing engineering related comprehensive master plan elements, collecting pertinent implementation data on master plans programs, management of the wayfinding signage system maintenance program, and review of telecommunication facility permits located in public right of way. What You Bring To Us

  • Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or other engineering principle from an accredited college or university.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience. 
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas is preferred
  • Ability to remain flexible with your schedule. Work may require unusual hours and the ability to be on call after business hours.
