Description Under direct supervision, assists in the operation of Park and Recreation Events and the Broken Arrow Farmers Market. Essential Job Functions: •Plans, promotes, organizes, coordinates, schedules, and supervises various recreational programs and activities including leisure activities. •Coordinates events; develops new Parks and Recreation hosted events. • Helps with onsite coordination of Parks and Recreation events and the farmers market. •Assists with planning, scheduling, organizing, set up and hosting of departmental events and the farmers market. •Prepares flyers, brochures, news releases, and other promotional materials for the farmers market and departmental events. •Assists with reservation of facilities or equipment related to events and the farmers market. •Coordinates the Broken Arrow Farmers Market; opens the market pavilion; turns on lights and fans; and hangs market banners. •Coordinates volunteers assisting with events and the farmers market. •Cleans up any spills and broken objects that may be detrimental to the public's safety. •Answers questions from the general public regarding the market and events. •Receives monies, makes change and writes receipts. •Maintains inventory of supplies, and reorders supplies as needed with supervisors' approval. •Performs administrative duties related to Parks and Recreation events and the farmers market which may include arranging meetings and communicating verbally and in writing. •Completes and maintains accurate records and reports. •Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with one to three years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Driver's License issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
