Capital Area Council of Governments, CAPCOG, is a regional organization of city and county governments in the 10-county region surrounding the Austin metro area created to foster collaboration at the regional level and promote economy and efficiency in the coordinated development of the region. Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area (AAACAP), a division within CAPCOG, provides quality services to support the health, safety, and well-being of older individuals in the 10-county Capital Area through a variety of programs and activities. With its wide range of innovative projects and programs the Area Agency on Aging offers employees opportunities for participation in local, state and federal projects on the leading edge of community-based service provision. Agency operations promote independence and plan for a quality aging and disability support network in response to the rapidly expanding regional population of older adults and their caregivers.
AAACAP is seeking candidates to be an active part of their team as the Social Services Project Coordinator. This position leads the process for implementing grant projects and HHS initiatives with a focus on new person-centered, collaborative service delivery models and projects.  Work involves planning, program support, policy development, technical assistance, oversight of daily operations and project management consistent with the requirements of the Older Americans Act and other grant project deliverables. Position plans, assigns and supervises the work of project contractors.
Travel is required within the 10-county region. The incumbent must maintain a valid Texas driver’s license, proof of insurance specified by the State of Texas, and dependable transportation.
Education: Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in social services, Public Administration or a related field required. Master level Social Work degree preferred.
Experience: Four years of experience working within the social services field, experience with program development implementation and oversight, including fiscal management, with supervisory experience preferred. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
Salary range: $56,100 – $59,100 depending on qualifications
