The City of Cedar Park is seeking a Treatment Operator to work with the Water Reclamation Team.  

• Operates and maintains the city water reclamation facilities as required by city, state, and federal guidelines;
• Maintains 24 hour rotating shifts;
• Performs routine inspections of water reclamation facilities, monitors pumps, tanks, chemicals, and filters, and adjusts equipment or chemicals to maintain specified operating conditions;
• Collects periodic water samples from various locations within the facility and performs numerous chemical analysis, including pH, alkalinity, chlorine, turbidity, phosphorous, total suspended solids, nitrogen, etc., and ensure proper calibration of measuring equipment; and
• Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

Acceptable Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses

TREATMENT OPERATOR I (WATER RECLAMATION)

High School Diploma or its equivalent, plus two (2) years of experience in water reclamation operations; 
or  any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
 
Water Reclamation - Class C Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification (TCEQ).

Valid Texas Driver's License applicable to job responsibilities, with an acceptable driving record.

TREATMENT OPERATOR II (WATER RECLAMATION)

High School Diploma, or its equivalent, plus at least four (4) years of experience in water reclamation operations;
or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Water Reclamation - Class B Waste Water Treatment License from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Valid Texas Driver's License applicable to job responsibilities, with an acceptable driving record.
