Description | Windsor Heights, IA (pop. 4,860) The City of Windsor Heights seeks its next City Administrator. Windsor Heights is a full-service city located within the Des Moines Metropolitan Area. Located only minutes from Downtown Des Moines, Windsor Heights offers a high quality of life, excellent schools and access to all the amenities of a metropolitan community. The City’s location also lends itself to multiple opportunities to work regionally as well as locally. Windsor Heights has a general fund budget of $3.2 M with all funds totaling approximately $11.5 M and has 30 FTEs. The City has an experienced and dedicated leadership team committed to moving the City forward. The City recently approved a Local Options Sales Tax and is planning for over $17 M in infrastructure projects over the next few years. The City has opportunities for economic development, specifically redevelopment of its commercial areas. The next City Administrator should be a creative problem solver committed to teamwork, collaboration and professionalism.
