Description

Pay Rate: $23.50/hour

The primary responsibility of this position is to install, maintain and monitor the operation of the City's local and wide area networks and servers. Determine system configurations, maintenance and data backup schedules and monitoring tools and procedures. Maintain and monitor day-to-day citywide network operation, server performance, and perform corrective action as required, or notify supervisor of alarms and failures. Perform administrative functions associated with managing users and devices. Assist in network and server center troubleshooting and problem resolution. A valid Texas driver’s license is required. Bachelor’s degree or education and training related to computer science, management information systems, or a closely related field is required. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Windows Server 2016: 70-740, 70-741, 70-742 or have the ability to obtain certification within 6 Months from the date of employment. Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the analysis, design, development and management of server and network infrastructures or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience to be determined by the employer.
