Description | To submit a formal application, please visit www.templetx.gov/jobs Job Summary Working 11AM – 2PM Monday-Friday, the Part-Time Inventory Specialist, assists with the maintenance and operation of the utility and janitorial supply warehouses; Issues inventory parts to internal customers; Offloads shipments from vendors utilizing forklift; On-call every other week to issue inventory parts after hours. Previous warehouse experience and knowledge of utility-related parts helpful. Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License; Must be tactful and courteous when dealing with co-workers, vendors, and the general public; Punctuality and regular attendance are required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities o Issue parts to internal departments ensuring accuracy of information contained on the debit tickets and providing a high level of customer service. o Unload packages (often with forklift) and place items in appropriate location/bin. Verify counts of received goods against packing slips and order forms. o Assist with daily inventory cycle counts and reconciliation of count discrepancies o Responsible for cleanliness of warehouse, including but not limited to, stocking bins, breaking down boxes, sweeping, and trash disposal. o Responsible for being on call every other week to issue inventory to internal customers when City offices are closed. Work closely with the Full-Time Inventory Specialist to cover all vacation and holiday time. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Valid Texas Driver License |
