Position Salary Range: $14.49-$21.75 hourly; Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Job Summary

Under general supervision, is responsible for repairing and maintaining City heavy duty vehicles and equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•Perform preventative maintenance services as needed to manufacturer specifications. 

•Diagnose and repair heavy duty vehicle and equipment systems. Order parts as necessary. 

•Respond to road calls. 

•Conduct road and static test to verify repairs. Take vehicles to and from outside vendors for repairs and services. 

•Maintain a clean and orderly Fleet Shop 

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 4 years experience with heavy duty vehicles and equipment; will accept education certificates in lieu of minimum experience
Required to furnish own hand tools
Valid Class B CDL driver’s license 
ASE T4 and T5 Certifications EPA Section 609 Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
