Description Under general supervision, this position develops and tracks social media and digital content to achieve City-wide communications goals. Essential Job Functions: •Executes daily social media tactics across multiple platforms. •Provides social media assistance to other city departments when requested. •Makes recommendations on digital media projects and initiatives when requested. •Attends training and conferences as determined by the Communications Director, to include out-of-town and overnight events. •Creates and implements social media strategies to accomplish stakeholder awareness. •Responds to inquiries on a variety of social media platforms. •Researches and analyzes social media analytics; stays abreast of social media trends and tools. •Creates, implements and tracks success of Google AdWords strategy. •Analyzes data, reports findings and makes recommendations on updating digital presence, (website, social media, etc.) to achieve citywide communication goals. •Leads or assists in creating and deploying content for newsletters, blog entries, email campaigns or other mediums as directed. •Assists with maintaining the City's website. •Plans, and executes engaging livestreams and video content.
