Description | POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Position: City Administrator Location: City of Nevada, Iowa (Pop. 6798) Salary Range: $91,077 – $117,864 (Commensurate with Experience) General Duties: Directly responsible to the Mayor and City Council for the administration of municipal affairs. Duties include the administration of City programs, policies, ordinances and directives as established by the City Council. The Administrator coordinates deliver of municipal services through various City departments and prepares and administers the City’s annual operating budget. The position profile can be viewed at: https://www.cityofnevadaiowa.org Minimum Qualifications: Qualified Candidates should possess a solid educational background and related experience with demonstrated ability in solving complex problems and leading teams. A Degree in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required and should have five years of public sector administrative and managerial experience, with at least three years as a City Manager/Administrator or as an assistant in a larger community. Preferred qualifications include Master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in public sector management.
