Description | Reclamation Plant Chief Operator Summary: Under general supervision, manages skilled employees involved in the daily operation and maintenance of Water Reclamation Plant for the City's Bob Derring Plant under the Utilities Department; monitors the performance of the facility and makes technical adjustments to assure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations, and City goals and standards. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, and five years' W/WW system maintenance experience, preferably with City of Odessa.

Skill in:
License and certification requirement: A Texas State Driver's License is required. Class B Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's license from Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is required. Physical demands and working environment: Work is performed in Bob Derrington Wastewater Treatment Plant facility; required to perform moderate physical work, and lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Physical dexterity is required to work in confined spaces and use precision tools and equipment. Must wear City approved safety shoes. Special requirement: Available for twenty-four (24) hour call.
