Duties include administering and coordinating the City’s mosquito control program – operating mosquito fogging equipment, applying mosquito larvicide, sampling / testing mosquitoes and animals for mosquito-borne diseases, and supervising vector control personnel. Duties also include data entry, identifying and logging areas consistent with mosquito breeding and activity, and responding to the mosquito hotline. A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience required. Must have a Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) pesticide applicator’s license and a valid Texas driver’s license. Schedule will vary and hours will include a combination of days, evenings, nights and weekends.
