Qualifications include the equivalent to an Associate degree from an accredited college or university in relevant field of study and three years of related work experience; knowledge of Texas Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD) and Traffic Signal Timing Manual. Must have or be able to obtain within a specified timeframe, a Class A CDL license, IMSA Signal Technician II Certification, and IMSA Work Zone Safety Certification. Must have sufficient familiarity with traffic controller and signal system software, vehicle detection and network equipment configuration software, CityWorks, Synchro, ArcMap / ArcGIS, as well as various database programs. Schedule frequently includes extended shifts and evening and weekend hours.
