Description

Under the supervision of the HMIS Systems Administrator, this position is responsible to maintain, interpret, test, and analyze data to ensure information is being properly stored in the Amarillo Continuum of Care Homeless Management Information System. Under direction from the HMIS/CoC Coordinator, the selected candidate would be responsible for general support of the HMIS users, conducting HMIS training activities, conducting agency audits, and assisting with reporting tasks.
- Serve as the technical liaison between the HMIS participating organizations and vendor.
- Provide technical support to HMIS participating organizations to ensure that data entered to HMIS is complete, accurate, and entered in a timely manner to meet reporting deadlines.
- Analyze HMIS use and perform in-depth data validation on data from assigned participating organizations.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex data sets.
- Identify and implement technical solutions where efficiencies may be gained through automation.
- Develop and maintain queries, reports, and data feeds for internal and external users.
- Designs/assists agencies producing customized agency reports as well as gathering data for regional aggregate reports.
- Provide administration of implemented software, such as agency and user account set-up, system monitoring and testing, problem diagnosis and resolution routine software and information maintenance.
- Provide technical assistance and cross training to system users.
- Maintain knowledge on current HUD data elements and requirements.
- Conducts agency audits and domestic violence database certifications/audits
- Maintains HMIS contacts, email distribution lists, tracking logs, etc.
- Complete othA high school diploma or GED is required.
An Associates degree in mathematics, computer science, or related field is preferred.
A minimum of one (1) year experience working with databases and/or reporting software is required.
Must have typing skills, 30 wpm is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required, including advanced Excel functions.
A valid Texas driver's license is required. Completes other duties as assigned.

Salary; $14.97 hr ($31,149 year)
