Description | Business Professional I (Working Title: Planner Scheduler) (New FY20 Budgeted Position - Selected candidate will start on or after 10/1): Strategic and tactical development and implementation of short term and long-range comprehensive preventative maintenance plans and schedules for the operations and maintenance of the water and wastewater systems utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), including technical interface with vendor/supplier personnel, contract negotiation and project coordination. Coordinates CMMS resource team efforts; develops and implements training curriculum; establishes materials, equipment and personnel requirements for planned work, and reviews work activities for proficiency and conformance to requirements, policies, procedures and work standards. Maintains all CMMS records related to the above. Duties:
Minimum Qualifications: An Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in a physical or natural science, engineering, business administration or related field with three (3) years job-related experience - OR - A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in job-related field; one year job-related experience in water or wastewater utility field preferred. Five (5) years professional related experience can be substituted for the degree at management discretion. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with CMMS with Maximo version 6 or higher preferred. Experience with MS Office. Experience working with ESRI GIS software. Job Competencies: Knowledge of asset and work management principles and best practices required. Experience working with a broad range of staff. Knowledge of codes, ordinances and regulations related to utility work. Experience working with vendors and contractors. Ability to work with and train staff in the use of the CMMS. Experience with pumps, motors, instrumentation, controls, meters, analyzers and other equipment found in water and wastewater systems, and the parts used to repair them.
