Description Under general supervision of the Assistant City Manager of Operations, this position performs communications and marketing duties in support of projects and activities in the Operations Group which includes: Community Development Department, Engineering and Construction Department, Parks and Recreation Department, and Utilities Department. Essential Job Functions: •Writes news articles and content for web pages, as well as various social media platforms in order to communicate the work and projects associated with the Operations Group. •Develops content for periodically printed citizen newsletter and other communication media. •Develops content for the annual financial newsletter and project list specifically related to the Operations Group. •Develops content for the annual report. •Assists the Communications Division with drafting of press releases related to Operations projects and activities. •Monitors departmental social media accounts and responds to public inquiries. •Assists in the development of marketing plans to promote Operations projects and activities. •Researches and develops marketing materials and publications including brochures, flyers, information pamphlets, media announcements, public presentations, and other promotional materials. •Assists the Communications Division with maintaining the City's website, specifically related to the Operations Group work, including utilization of various web tools. •Assists the Communications Division in creating content for the City's municipal information television channel, specifically segments related to Operations. •Documents various Operations' projects and activities through video and photography. •Performs other duties as required or assigned. Minimum Education and Experience: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a course of study related to the occupational field, supplemented by one to three years of similar experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession or the ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
