PARKS TECHNICIAN I-II

Salary $16.50- $18.14 Hourly, Depends on Qualifications

Full-time plus benefits

The City of Highland Village is looking for a Parks Technician I or II to perform parks maintenance within our community.  Our parks department is responsible for maintaining over 335 acres of public parkland within the City limits, including 19 City-owned or leased park sites.   With a population of about 17,000, the City of Highland Village is a vibrant, family oriented community in southern Denton County.

The Parks Technician is responsible for ensuring all City grounds, parks, and ball fields are well maintained using mowers, week eaters, edger’s, blowers, etc.  This position will maintain irrigation systems, perform playground and facility maintenance, and participate in city events and on call duties. 

Parks Irrigation Specialist job requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Previous experience that demonstrates you  can perform the job duties
  • First Aid and CPR certification within 3 months of employment (City Paid & Provided Training)
