Description

Education and Experience

 

This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Media, Mass Communications and/or Public Relations, or closely-related field, as well as five to seven years of proven media, public relations and/or crisis communication experience in government or a large organization.  Master’s degree preferred. A comparable amount of training and/or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Minors in marketing, advertising, graphic design, and/or video production are preferred.  Spanish language speaking and writing skills strongly preferred. Accreditation in Public Relations strongly preferred.

 

Licenses

Valid Florida Driver’s License

 

Certifications

 

Accreditation in Public Relations (within one year of hire date).
