PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING MANAGER | HEALTH | REQ - 1469
Job Family: Management/Supervisory

Salary:  $63,985.55 annually
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm; after hours, weekends and evenings as required.

As the Public Health Nursing Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the services provided meet the program requirements and effective coordination of strategies to protected and improve the health of County residents.

If you are ready for the challenge, you will:

  • Plan, manage, review, and evaluate the staff and functions of assigned PHD programs; manage priorities, identify critical issues, resolve conflicts, and assure the effective coordination of Public Health Nursing programs and strategies to protect and improve the health of the residents.
  • Meet regularly with staff to discuss and resolve workload and technical issues; review programs and workload in order to anticipate technical and management problems; analyze workload trends and implement staffing and assignment adjustments.
  • Evaluate grant programs, research requirements, and determine feasibility of participation; prepare and submit grant proposals, manage grant budgets, and operational and fascial reporting; assure that quality standards are met, and appropriate services are provided.
  • Write technical and analytical reports and make technical estimates of a specialized nature in connection with PHD programs, contracts, and regulatory issues, interprets concerns, defines desired results and develops solutions.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing,
  • AND five years Public Health Nursing program management experience,
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience,
  • must also have a valid driver’s license,
  • If you are selected, you are also subject to a background check.
