Description | Utilities Electronics Tech Summary: Responsible for maintaining electrical, instrument and related control equipment at Utilities Water Treatment Plant, Bob Derrington Wastewater Treatment Plant and off-site facilities. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High school diploma or GED required and ONE year of experience at installing and troubleshooting motor controls and various other problems in industrial or commercial settings. Prefer industrial or commercial experience wiring single and 3-phase equipment, 480, 220, 110 voltages. Knowledge of:

License and certification requirements: A valid Texas State Driver's License is required. Preference may be given to the applicant with Journeyman or higher electrical or other control license or certifications. Available for 24 hour call. Physical demands and working environment: Work is performed in W/WW Treatment Plan facilities; required to perform moderate physical work and lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Physical dexterity is required to work in confined spaces and use precision tools and equipment. City approved safety shoes must be worn.
