Under general supervision, provides technical assistance in support of the Communication Systems Engineer.

• Designs, installs, programs, and maintains 800 MHz EDACS/OpenSky/P25 communications network infrastructure.
• Designs, installs and maintains point-to-point microwave links.
• Designs, installs and maintains communications multiplexing equipment.
• Installs, operates and maintains various servers, both Windows-based and Solaris for the communications network and security systems.
• Installs, operates and maintains various routers and switches that pertain to the communications network and security systems.
• Review blueprints for City facilities and make recommendations for the structured cabling systems required for the structure.
• Designs, installs and maintains fire station alerting systems.
• Maintains and repairs fiber optic cabling.
• Maintains City-owned communications towers.
• Maintains City cell phones.
• Designs, installs and maintain security, access control and CCTV systems for City facilities.
• Designs, installs and maintains SCADA systems and CCTV systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by one to two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Driver's License issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
