Description | The Budget Manager manages the preparation and administration of the annual operating and capital improvement budget under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Finance. In this capacity, this position is expected to be a key staff member that will assist with the development of strategic financial plans for the City and make recommendations to the City’s Management Team regarding budget policy, development and implementation. Manages day to day operations of the Budget Department. Applicants must submit a cover letter & resume.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, training and Experience Guidelines Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or an applicable field with 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in municipal budgeting/financial analysis or revenue analysis. OR Preferred Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, and an applicable field, with two (2) years of progressively responsible experience. CGFO preferred and may substitute for one (1) year of experience. Knowledge of:

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Valid Class C Texas driver’s license Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) – preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing, balancing, vision, hearing, and talking. Hiring Range: $75,600.72 - $94,702.40 annually depending on qualifications. |
